District of North Vancouver
North Vancouver, BC
Prism reviewed the HVAC control systems, commonly referred to as Building Automation Systems, installed in 20 District of North Vancouver facilities. The objective was to identify how HVAC systems were currently controlled at each facility as well as to provide recommendations to address obsolescence, energy efficiency, occupant comfort and operational effectiveness.
Site-specific recommendations were made in accordance with the status and diversity of the 20 Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. The sites were upgraded based on priority to increase energy efficiency and occupant comfort. A central system was developed to facilitate access to the various DDC systems.
