Prism Engineering works with New Gold New Afton Mine on a number of initiatives including:
- developing and implementing an Employee Engagement plan as one of the requirements to achieve ISO 50001 certification
- designing and facilitating the annual Energy Review with the mine’s Energy Team
- supporting the use and interpretation of the site’s EMIS system
- evaluating project savings using MT&R techniques
- participating in the ISO 50001 internal audit that led to recertification with zero non-compliances
In early 2014, New Afton became the first mine in North America to be ISO 50001 certified.
