Prism conducted a detailed lighting audit at the 600,000 square foot store. The store uses a variety of light sources to provide general lighting, highlighting, sparkle, and glitter to attract customer attention. Saving energy, while maintaining or improving the look of the store, was a mark of this project. Prism proposed a comprehensive upgrade to the lighting systems, including retrofits of the fluorescent systems, replacement of numerous halogen and incandescent lights with compact fluorescent lamps, and replacement of some halogens with new energy-efficient infra-red conserving halogens and metal halide HID track systems. A lighting control system will operate the lighting to ensure that appropriate light levels are available for operating hours, stocking hours, and closing hours.
