| As a standing offer engineering consultant to PWGSC, Prism provided engineering and energy management services for several facilities managed by PWGSC.
Prism carried out detailed energy audits and mechanical analyses, and made recommendations for 12 government facilities in BC and the Yukon with a total area of over 1 million square feet.
Two examples from over 20 projects completed are:
For Vancouver’s Sinclair Centre, Prism reviewed the terms of reference and other pertinent data provided by PWGSC, conducted site reviews to evaluate existing mechanical and electrical systems, and made modifications to the design to suit tenant changes. Prism’s responsibilities included construction administration, site supervision, and providing CAD as-built drawings, maintenance manuals and letters of assurance.
The Victoria Graving Docks project included analysis of the SCADA utility sub metering and cost recovery system, investigating and proposing energy conservation measures to save energy and reduce utility costs, and providing budget costs for implementation. A review of the compressor systems was also carried out.
