Prism Engineering has developed an online training course for BOMA BC on energy management for building operators. Prism provided all subject matter expertise and project management for this course, enlisting the valuable experience and expertise of many Prism team members.

The course provides practical training for building operators that can be applied in their day-to-day operations, so that operators will learn how to identify savings opportunities, develop energy saving strategies, and influence stakeholders to adopt energy savings behavior

The course was designed with the following stand-alone modules that can be completed by participants in a time that meets their schedule:

• Metering and Billing
• Lighting
• Electrical
• HVAC Systems
• Heating Plants
• Cooling Plants
• Controls Optimization
• Selling the Project

The course includes "interactive exercises" to reinforce key learning objectives. Quizzes at the end of each module/section are used to test knowledge transfer effectiveness.

The course is completed with a "final exam" designed to address each learning objective of the course, with the grading one online automatically by a Learning Management System.
