Prism conducted an energy audit and identified the potential to improve energy efficiency. The recommendations included retrofitting or replacing existing equipment with new energy saving equipment such as lighting, building control systems, boiler controls, pump controls, and other modifications; improving the control and scheduling of operation of mechanical systems; and adopting behavioural changes to encourage conservation. A follow-up analysis was carried out of the snow melting and other electrical heating systems throughout both mountains. In addition, Prism provides on-going support to the mountain on energy management initiatives.
